May 15, 2007 Crimson Midwest Tour, Day 15 Crimson Midwest Tour, Day 15 Earlier in the trip Steve Fauser lost a bet with Kris Markovich and had to get Kris's name tattooed on him. With the trip almost over we were starting to wonder if Steve was going to pay his debt. I found out at lunchtime that a couple of the boys stayed out late getting tattoos near Rise. Steve made good on his debt and got a Markovich tattoo while Vince Del Valle got a Grim Reaper on his arm. After lunch we thanked Ryan for taking good care of us got on the road headed to Boardroom skate shop in Columbus, IN. This was the last signing that we had on the trip and the kids at the shop were a little shy at first, but came around quite nicely. Once everything was signed and Jeremiah Babb was done playing s-k-a-t-e we went to a school down the street that has really good rails out front. Kris Markovich, Vince Del Valle, Steve Fauser, and James Atkin warmed up on the rail for a little bit, feeling it out. Vince was working on Lipslide Shove-it when we got rolled on by the cops. It was just as well though, our time was running short and we had to be in Louisville, KY by 7:00 for a demo. The shop we were doing the demo for was Axis, our buddy Sean runs the shop and gave us a nice welcome before we headed over to the park. If you have only seen photos or footage of the park, then you don't realize how massive the fullpipe and bowl there are. The park is open 24hrs and can host an interesting cast of characters at all times. With a fun session and product toss behind us we searched for a hotel and food. Tomorrow will be the last demo and the end of our Midwest Experience. Come back tomorrow for the last day of photos from the Crimson Midwest Tour!
Check out Kris Markovich, James Atkin, Richie Belton, Rick Eusey, Danny Scher, Jeremiah Babb, Thomas Bonilla, Vince Del Valle, Steve Fauser, Joey Oregero, Charlie Thomas, Nick Yamasato, and Michael Prince tear through the Midwest! |
