May 05, 2007 Crimson Midwest Tour, Day 5 Crimson Midwest Tour, Day 5 A 6:45am drive out to the airport come a little too early for me, but I had to make sure Sam (he helps make sure Crimson keeps running smooth) caught his flight. Luckily, I was there and back in 45 min and got a nap in before I had to head to the park. Kris Markovich got down there early for his last day of judging the Top Shop contest and I made my way down there a little later to man our booth. The majority of the day was spent hanging out at the park and the rest of the guys slowly made there way down. When Steve Fauser showed up he looked like he got in a fight with a cat and lost. I never really got the full story, but I know that David Gravette had something to do with it. Once the contest and trade show were over, Kris, Steve, Rick Eusey, and myself enjoyed an epic session on the mini-ramp. Kris shot a couple of photos and everything was going good until he ran out of a trick and blew his foot up. Afterwards, Kris headed back to the hotel so he could start icing his foot and the rest of the us went to meet up with Hutch. He had a couple of spots that would be good for photos and there was still a little daylight left. There was a gap out of these apartments that landed in a bank, but had some tree branches in the way. While we were clearing out the landing an overly concerned tree hugger came out and told us that we were hurting the tree and shouldn't be doing what we were doing. A little while later, the cops showed up, but Richie Belton had already taken care of business and we were packing. We checked out another spot and after a second run in with the same cops we called it a night. Come back to 411VM.com tomorrow for more journal entries from the Crimson Midwest Tour!
