May 06, 2007 Crimson Midwest Tour, Day 6 Crimson Midwest Tour, Day 6 With our last day at 3rd lair behind us the tour officially got underway. Over the weekend we met the owners of Ollie and Co. and they invited us out to a boat ride on Lake Minnetonka before our demo later that evening. We met up with Eric (the owner of Ollie and Co.) at a parking lot close to the hotel we were staying at. While we waiting the dice were broken out and some per diem was exchanged between the boys. The Lake was only about 15 minutes away and before we knew it we were on board the boat. There's nothing like the going 70 mph and feeling like your face is going to blow off. We parked the boat and Eric treated us to lunch at a little restaurant right off the water. After lunch it was time to head out to the park for the demo. The park is one of the best indoor parks that we have ever got to skate on tour. There's a good mini ramp, bank to wall, pole jam, double set, and angle iron on every little nook and cranny throughout the park that made for some fun lines. The whole team really stepped it up for this demo, feeding off each other with Rick Eusey leading the way by attacking every obstacle in the park. Steve Fauser took a rough one to the hip on the mini ramp and was sidelined for half of the demo. Our thanks go out to Eric and Penny for making us feel right at home and taking the crew out on the lake.
Check out Kris Markovich, James Atkin, Richie Belton, Rick Eusey, Danny Scher, Thomas Bonilla, Vince Del Valle, Steve Fauser, Joey Oregero, Charlie Thomas, Nick Yamasato, and Michael Prince tear through the Midwest! |
