Red Bull In Australia, G'Day 4
Red Bull in Australia, G'Day 4
Thinking outside the box.
I gotta tell ya, every time I come to Australia it just gets better
and better. The funny thing is, when people normally come to
Australia they come home with a story of seeing kangaroos or have a
golden tan. Me on the other hand, I'm just as white as I was before I
came, and I have yet to see a kangaroo. I have seen some amazing
skating though, and today was one of those days where it was none
stop. It was like a assembly line of hammers, a hammer buffet if you
will, and you know what, I'll take seeing hammers over kangaroos
anyday. Today was a G'day.
Cheers,
Dude (Roger Klotz)
Since the last time I was here they've really cracked down on the
skate stoppers and no skateboarding ballet signs...
...Drinking in public on the other hand is completely fine. This was
some kind of college beer run in the middle of our skate session. It
was 10 a.m.
Jereme Rogers takes a break from doing switch 360 kickflips down gaps 1st try.
Oliver Barton has stories for days, and one day he'll probably tell
someone about the time Jereme Rogers SS 360 KF that one gap 1st try.
Figgy breaks kingpins like 3 times a week, I can't even remember the
last time I broke a kingpin. 1988 maybe? Wow, he wasn't even born
yet.
Quick skate down to PSC skate shop, and off to the next spot.
This is where the assembly line of hammers started. Sheckler and Figgy
sussing out the situation.
"Um could I have a hand here?" Oliver Barton and Hoops getting their angles.
Sheckler breaks off a boardslide...
...And in the process breaks out a window.
Believe it or not this guy was really cool about the window being
broken. He actually apologized to us for freaking out when Sheckler
broke the window. Of course, that was after he gave the guy $150.00 for it.
I walked over to my camera bag to find this; apparently Hoops takes
off his fancy jewelry to film.
$20,000 dollars in my hands, just another day at the office.
This is Bryce. He's been our guide since we got to Melbourne. I also
witnessed him ollie a ridiculous gap. Thanks Bryce!
On our way home Sheckler saw this little jewel, and of course him and
Figgy closed it down.
California sunsets don't have a thing on Australia.
After a long day of skating the fine people over at Red Bull took us
all out to dinner at Koko's...
After dinner, we proceeded to the Crown Casino where I lost $200.00 in a matter
of 5 minutes and drowned my sorrows in alcohol with Mr. Hoops.
