"UNDERWORLD GET TRICKS CONTEST went off on Sat. Aug 11th. with a beautiful day in store for us and a dream course with the skaters to back it up. We knew we were in for a great day. Qualifying for the finals went down with a jam format. 5 skaters for 5 minutes.......wow, that is pretty much all that is left to say after 4 days of pondering on what to say. I think this format really made everyone feel comfortable and at ease to begin a very intense finals.

"With only 10 spots for the finals weighing down on the judges we had no choice to turn 10 spots into 15. locals like Gabby, Cale and Tamara Dryborough, Jamie Walker and Big Dean all brought some serious skills to the finals and showed everyone that this was their park. Some of Canada's finest like Spencer Hamilton, Dustin Montie, Stacey Gabriel, Geoff Dermer and The Kitsch Squad all brought out their best to GET TRICKS. It came down to John Hanlon and Calgary's Riley Boland sharing the podium...... there was just no other choice. watch the video and decide for yourself.

"This was by far our best event yet, amazing skating, beautiful weather and way too much money and product to give away. big thanks to Mike Scott for talking way too much on the mic and letting everyone know we were there to have fun first and foremost. thanks also due to DJ KUTCORNERS for playing great tunes all day long and SUPRA Ryan for holding it down all day. and a big big thanks to LRG, BAKER, SUPRA, ELEMENT AND UNDERWORLD for all your support in bringing this event to way great heights than imagined. thanks so much to everyone who showed there face and see you next year...... peace out."
